(Chandigarh News) On the second day of the 'Water Collecting Public Participation' campaign being run by the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, the work of cleaning the rainwater harvesting structures in the city continued. Cleanliness activities were organized at community centers in Dhanas and Maloya. Apart from this, the teams also inspected rainwater harvesting structures in STP giant and Raipur Khurd and Raipur Kalan.
Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla appreciated the increasing participation of citizens. He said that when citizens and corporations work together, real change is possible. Water is a precious resource, and it is the duty of all to save it. This campaign will continue till May 7, in which various activities will be organized daily. The residents have been appealed to participate, support and spread awareness. Together we can make Chandigarh an ideal city of water conservation.
