The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be up against the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday, May 2. The Orange Army has been struggling in IPL 2025 due to certain key players being out of form. One of them is seam bowling all-rounder.
The 21-year-old Visakhapatnam-born cricketer was one of the emerging players for the franchise last season and also delivered notable performances in international cricket as well. However, it has been an underwhelming season so far for Reddy. While there has been some criticism against him on social media due to his form, there is another viral clip on social media featuring his father Mutyala Reddy seen working out in a gym.
However, instead of the workout it is the gymwear that has caught the attention of the fans since Mutyala was seen wearing a jersey. This has led to some netizens questioning the loyalty of the Reddy family towards SRH, the team that provided Nitish the break and also retained him at a price of INR 6 crore ahead of the 2025 season.
Check out the video below -Nitish Reddy had a great season last year, where he scored some crucial runs and bowled some handy overs. He played a total of 13 matches, where he scored 303 runs at an average of 33.66 and had a strike rate of 142.92. He also took three wickets and was also adjudged as the emerging player of the year.
This season, however, has been full of disappointment for the all-rounder who, in the nine games so far, has only scored 152 runs at an average of 21.71 with a strike rate of only 113.43. He has also not bowled a single delivery this year which is equally surprising.
