He recommended that the Town Planning and Irrigation Department officials visit the field level together and conduct the required tests to remove any illegal structures that are preventing the construction of sewage canals. The Collector gave the order to draft a thorough strategy for purchasing the property needed to build sewage treatment facilities. He threatened to take action if the job was not hastened.

According to him, the subterranean drainage system has 73 manholes out of 432 and 1.54 km of drainage line out of 8.5 km finished. According to him, the required land acquisition procedure would start soon in order to build sewage treatment facilities with a 44 MLD capacity at the Dhamsalapuram tank and a 9.5 MLD capacity at the Puttakota tank.

According to him, up to 1.5 km of sewage canals have already been finished, and up to 2.5 km can be finished without demolishing any buildings. Khan announced on this occasion that the Amrit 2 scheme had approved underground drainage works in Khammam city at a cost of Rs 249.5 crore, of which Rs 189 crore 50 lakh had been set aside for the system’s construction and Rs 60 crore for its ten-year maintenance.
