Unknown attackers mercilessly stabbed a 27-year-old man to death in broad daylight on Friday close to Bibi-ka-Chashma in Falaknuma in Old City.

The deceased, a local man named Mohd Majeed, was assaulted by many people brandishing knives and other weapons while he was at a paan shop. Bystanders hurried Majeed to the hospital after he suffered major blood injuries during the attack.

When he arrived at Osmania General Hospital, the medical staff pronounced him dead. Majeed’s remains have been moved to the mortuary so they may be examined postmortem.

Following notification, the Falaknuma police hurried to the scene and began their investigation. To find and apprehend the murderers, the CCTV footage from the crime scene and surrounding area is being analysed. The crime scene was examined by senior police officers, including Additional DCP (South Zone) Mohd Majid. Majeed’s acquaintances and relatives are being questioned by authorities in an effort to identify possible culprits and ascertain the reason for the assault.
