A senior CBSE official, speaking anonymously, said, “Results are not being released today and maybe not till this weekend too.”

No formal statement or date has been issued by the board as of now. The official clarified that students should not rely on circulating reports or speculative timelines.

44 lakh students still waiting

This year, a staggering 44 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board exams. Of these, more than 24 lakh were enrolled in Class 10, while 17.88 lakh sat for the Class 12 exams. The exams were conducted between 15 February and 4 April 2025.

The importance of these results cannot be overstated. For Class 12 students, these scores determine eligibility for university admissions and competitive entrance exams. For Class 10 students, the marks will decide their stream selection — a crucial fork in their academic journey.

Social Media Buzz, But No Confirmed Date

Despite the absence of an official update, hashtags like #CBSE2025 and #CBSEResults have been trending on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), reflecting the widespread anticipation.

However, the board reiterated that it has not made any announcement regarding a result date. Last year, CBSE declared the results on 13 May 2024. Going by that timeline, results may still be more than a week away.

CBSE has also urged students to trust only the board’s official sources for updates.

Where to check CBSE results

Once declared, students will be able to access their results through multiple platforms. These include:

CBSE pass percentage

Students must score at least 33% in each subject to pass the board examination.

The board has also stopped releasing merit lists since the 2022–23 academic year, aiming to reduce unhealthy competition among students. However, CBSE will continue to publish the overall and gender-wise pass percentages.

In 2024, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 was 93.60%, and for Class 12, it stood at 87.98%. These figures reflected a modest improvement from the previous year.

Based on recent trends, education experts anticipate a similar or slightly higher pass rate this year. Many expect top-performing students to achieve perfect scores.

As students across the country refresh result pages and scroll through trending hashtags, CBSE has one clear message: wait for the official word. Misinformation only adds to the pressure in what is already a high-stakes moment for millions.

Until then, students, parents, and teachers alike are advised to stay patient — and avoid speculation.
