Ajaz khan: The Mumbai Police on Friday registered a case against actor Ejaz Khan and the producer of the web show 'House Arrest' for pornographic content. This web show is streamful on the owl app and hosts Ejaz Khan. Some video clips of this show have gone viral on social media, in which women are shown in objectionable position and pornographic questions have been asked.
This case has been registered on the basis of the complaint of Bajrang Dal worker Gautam Rawaria. It has been alleged in the complaint that the scene and language that hurts the dignity of women in the show have been used. Taking this complaint seriously, the police have registered a case in the relevant sections.
An official of Amboli police station told, "Based on the complaint lodged by Bajrang Dal activist Gautam Rawaria, a case has been registered against Ejaz Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey and others associated with the owl app." The complaint also said that "He has received many complaints about the pornography of the show and people objected to him through personal messages."
The official said that a case has been registered against the creator and host of 'House Arrest' under the sections of the Indian Justice Code BNS, Information Technology Act and the Women's Pornographic Presentation (Prohibition) Act.
In video clips, which went viral on social media, Ejaz Khan is seen pressing on contestants, especially women, to act intimate situations. They are also seen asking them with objectionable and double meaning questions, which has created a huge controversy about the show.
Maharashtra's BJP MLC Chitra Wagh on Thursday demanded an immediate ban on 'House Arrest'. They said, "Ejaz Khan, who calls himself an actor, has made a show called 'House Arrest', which has crossed all the boundaries of pornography. The clips of this show are going viral on social media and they are extremely vulgar."
He also urged Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav that strict action should be taken against mobile apps promoting such objectionable content.
Common people are also strongly protesting on social media about the viral clips of the show. Many users have demanded the removal of the show from the platform, describing the show as 'against social values'.
