Red 2 box office collection day 2: Ajay Devgan's much awaited crime drama film 'Red 2' has grossed in the first two days of its release. The film is a sequel to 'Red' in 2018, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. In the first two days, 'Red 2' has earned more than Rs 30 crore, although its collection has decreased slightly on the second day.
'Red 2' made a great start in theaters on Thursday. On the first day, the film collected Rs 19.25 crore. The main reason for this was partial holiday and the first part of the strong fanbase. In addition, Ajay Devgan's acting and exciting elements of the film attracted the audience, which gave a good start at the box office.
On Friday, 'Red 2' earned an estimated Rs 11.50 crore, reaching the total collection to Rs 30.75 crore. However, a decline was observed in the second day, but this is normal as Friday is considered to be the first working day of the week. Business experts say this decline was modest and would not have negative impact on the film's performance.
According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the Hindi occupancy of the film was 19.23% on the second day. The morning show was slow, but as the day extended, the film attracted more audiences in the afternoon and evening shows. The evening and night shows saw the highest 35.70% occupancy, which shows that the film performed better in prime-time.
In 'Red 2', Ajay Devgan has once again returned as his fearless IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The character of Amay Patnaik is known for his adventure and strong moral principles. This time in the film, Amay clashes with a powerful and corrupt politician, whose character is played by Ritesh Deshmukh. Vani Kapoor appeared in this film as Amay's wife, who replaced Ileana Dikruz in the first film.
'Red 2' has done well in its first two days, but now everyone's eyes are on Saturday and Sunday. The film is expected to further increase its collection during Wikand. If the film maintains its performance, it can cross the 50 crore mark, which will be considered a major success.
