In Kanpur on Friday, a teenage boy and girl were publicly thrashed by their parents. His girlfriend was 19 years old, and the guy was 21. The incident happened in the vicinity of the Gujaini police station near the Ramgopal crossroads. A CCTV camera filmed the whole encounter, and it went viral on social media.
Police records state that when Rohit’s parents, Shivkaran and Sushila, arrived on the spot, the guy was having mein with his girlfriend. The pair went on to violently abuse Rohit and his girlfriend because they disapproved of their relationship.
According to the NDTV story, the police issued a statement saying, “In this case, the police separated both the parties after counseling them and further necessary legal action is being taken.”
As the young couple tries to escape on a two-wheeler, Sushila is seen assaulting them in the footage. As locals and onlookers step in to break them up, she is seen holding the lady by the hair.
The video also shows Rohit’s father beating his kid with a slipper.
In a different instance, a Kanpur video that went viral on Saturday, March 16, shows a lady standing on a public road and participating in celebratory gunshots. The lady was seen shooting fearlessly into the air during the event, which happened in the congested Govind Nagar neighborhood. Her careless behavior soon caught the attention of locals and onlookers, some of whom seemed to support her in spite of the risks.
According to preliminary inquiries, the male had loaded the firearm before giving it to the lady. Multiple passersby were seen cheering her on and recording the event on their phones in footage that swiftly went viral on social media.
After examining the evidence, ACP (Babupurwa) Dilip Kumar Singh said that although the event occurred almost a week ago, the police acted quickly. After a thorough search, the police team found the airgun that was used in the incident.
