Recently, Dr. Eric Topol, a cardiologist and launched researcher on 'The Mail Robins Podcast', said that regular exercise can slow down the aging process to the cellular level. Exercise is the most effective way to reduce the biological age of the body.
Our body has two age. The first chronological age, which is determined by the date of birth. The second biological age, which is judged on the basis of physical and cellular health of the body. If your biological age is less than your chronological age, it means that your body is in a relatively young age, which indicates slowing down the process of aging.
According to Dr. Eric, exercise plays an important role in reducing biological age. He said that with regular exercise, you can get a biological age of 60 even at the age of 70. This difference is a clear indication that your body is young and healthy than your real age.
Dr. Topol said that regular exercise of at least 30 minutes daily is necessary, including cardio (walking, cycling, elipical etc.) and strength training (band, bodyweight exercise, balance and posture improvement). Ideally, it should be done at least five days a week. He said, “If you do 30 minutes of regular exercise every day, then your aging speed will slow down.”
