Something similar happened, with the recently released Tamil Family Drama 'Family Tourist'. On May 1, this film, which has knocked theaters, started earning at the box office as soon as it comes.

The special thing of this film is that there is no A-list star in it, yet its story and characters have won the hearts of the audience. Now when the film has been in theaters for 3 days, the movement on social media has intensified with its OTT debut.

Makers announce the OTT release date

In a press conference, the film's producer Yuvraj Ganesan himself revealed that the OTT release of the film was already decided. He said that the family tourist was deliberately released in theaters with a retro film in theaters on May 1, as our OTT release date was already fixed. He also informed that this film will be streamful on OTT by the end of May and it is believed that it can come online till 31 May. However, on which platform will be released, there is still silence on it.

6.20 crores in 3 days

What has been performed by the film without any big face is really capable. The Tamil film 'Family Tourist' has done a business of ₹ 6.20 crores in just three days.

First day earnings: ₹ 2 crores

Second day earning: ₹ 1.70 crore

Third day earnings: ₹ 2.50 crore

Despite hitting another film like Retro, 'Family Tourist' has maintained its grip.

What is the story?

The story of the film revolves around a family that starts a new life in India, struggling with financial crisis in Sri Lanka. This Tamil comedy-drama film is heart touching, in which the echo of family and struggle is heard with laughter. The film has a group of magnificent actors- Yogi Babu, M.S. Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Bagwati Perumal, Alango Kumarawell and Sreeja Ravi, who are seen burning their lives.
