The president of the Lebanese Republic, His Excellency Joseph Aoun, called President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates today.

President Aoun thanked the United Arab Emirates during the call for its decision to remove the travel restriction on its nationals visiting Lebanon, which will be in place starting on May 7, 2025.

In addition to expressing his wish for further collaboration that serves the common interests of both nations, he hailed the action as evidence of the UAE’s ongoing and genuine support for the Lebanese people.

The two presidents also spoke about the UAE and Lebanon’s strong familial connections and looked into ways to further collaboration in a number of areas that would benefit both countries and their citizens.
