But many times after getting the reservation, the ticket is not confirmed and goes into waiting.

But even after this, many passengers travel in reservation coach by taking waiting ticket. If you are also one of those passengers. Who travel in sleeper or AC coach by taking waiting ticket. So now you will not be able to do this. Because Indian Railways has changed the rules regarding this. Let us tell you. What is the new rule of Railways regarding travel on waiting ticket.

No travel on waiting ticket in sleeper and AC coach

Recently, the rules have been changed by the Indian Railways. Let us tell you that this rule is about traveling on waiting ticket. Earlier, passengers in Indian Railways used to travel in sleeper and AC coaches by taking waiting ticket. However, now this will not happen.

Let us tell you that according to the new rule set under Indian Railways, passengers will be able to travel only in general coach on waiting ticket. Passengers will not be able to travel in any reserved coach including sleeper and AC coach on waiting ticket. On doing so, a fine will be imposed by the TTE. Which will be different on the basis of different coaches.

This much fine will have to be paid

Seeing the increasing crowd of passengers in the reserved coach of the train, the Railways has implemented new rules from May 1. According to these rules, now no passenger will be able to travel in sleeper and AC coach on waiting ticket. On doing so, a fine will be imposed by the TTE. If a passenger is found travelling in a sleeper coach on a waiting ticket, he will have to pay a fine of Rs 250 and the ticket fare. Apart from this, if someone is caught in an AC coach, he will have to pay a fine of Rs 440 and the ticket fare. Apart from this, the TTE can also deboard passengers travelling in sleeper and AC coaches with waiting tickets.
