Many crores of people travel by train daily in India. Train travel in India is economical and usually, passengers get tickets easily. For this reason, train travel is considered simple and cheap for people.
But considering the population of India, train tickets are not easily available now. Keeping this in mind, the Railway Department provides many types of ticket options for passengers. Two of these options are: the Tatkal ticket and the current ticket.
But many people do not know the difference between these two. So today we will tell you what is the difference between the current ticket and the Tatkal ticket. And what is the timing to book these tickets?
Many times such situations come in people's lives. When you have to leave somewhere immediately, and due to a low budget you have to travel by train. During this time, passengers complete their journey through Tatkal ticket.
Railways have made some rules for Tatkal tickets. Let us tell you that Tatkal's ticket is for the same day's travel and it has to be booked a day before the journey. The booking time for this ticket starts from 10:00 am for AC class, and from 11:00 am for sleeper class.
At the same time, Railways has set different rules for current ticket. This ticket is different from Tatkal ticket. Current ticket is available just a few hours before the journey. If you have to go somewhere in an emergency and you do not have a Tatkal ticket, then current ticket is a good option.
But if some seats are vacant in the train, then this ticket is made available at the ticket counter or through TTE (Train Ticket Examiner). Current ticket can also be available about half an hour before the departure of the train, provided the seats are vacant.
