Kartik Aaryan and Vicky Kaushal, two of the most prominent stars of their generation, are reportedly vying for the lead role in an upcoming Hindi action thriller.

The project marks the Bollywood debut of Amaran director Rajkumar Periasamy and has already generated significant buzz for its high-octane narrative and big-screen appeal.

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Rajkumar Periasamy’s next is a high-concept actioner, in a space not seen before. The story is aided with strong emotions and warrants the presence of a young star, who is also a credible performer. The top two picks at the moment are either of Vicky Kaushal and Kartik Aaryan.”

The source further added, “The makers are looking forward to hear-back from Kartik and Vicky. There will be clarity on casting soon, but chatters indicate that both the heroes have really liked the script and the vision for treatment. It’s just about sorting out the dates, as Kartik and Vicky have their calendars packed with multiple films. Either of the two will definitely spearhead the film.”

While fans want Vicky Kaushal to lead the project, they are sure that Kartik will grab it because the film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar, and Kartik has given Bhushan multiple hits, including Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and 3.

After that, he will next be seen in Nagzilla.

Whereas Vicky Kaushal is shooting for his upcoming period drama Love & War with Ranbir and Alia
