Bihar CHO Recruitment 2025: The Bihar State Health Committee (SHS) has started the application process for Community Health Officer (CHO) Recruitment 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website shs.bihar.gov.in from 5 May 2025 to 6 pm on 26 May 2025.

Vacancy Details

According to the official notification, 4500 posts of Community Health Officer will be filled through this recruitment drive. Which includes 979 posts for the general category, 245 for EWS, 1243 posts for SC, 55 posts for ST, 1170 posts for EBC, 640 posts for BC, and 168 posts for WBC. In this, 35% is reserved for women, 4% for Divyang, and 2% for grandson/granddaughter/grandson/granddaughter of freedom fighters.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for these posts should have a degree in B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic Nursing from a recognized institute or university.

Age Limit

Candidates applying for these posts should be between 21 years to 42 years of age. Apart from this, age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates.

Salary

Candidates selected for these posts will be given a salary of Rs 40,000 per month. Out of this, Rs 32,000 per month is admissible as fixed remuneration and the remaining Rs 8,000 is to be paid as performance-linked payment.

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted for interview and further processed on the basis of their application. Once shortlisted, candidates will have to prove the validity of their claims through the document verification process.

Application Fee

General/OBC/EWS category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500. At the same time, SC/ST/PH and female candidates of all categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 125.
