The press release issued by the Supreme Court stated that the entire court decided on 1 April 2025 that the information of the property of the judges of the Supreme Court will be uploaded on the court website and kept in the public domain. Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna holds a 56 per cent stake in the 4 bedroom flat in Gurugram. His daughter holds the remaining 44 per cent stake. The current Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna is scheduled to retire on 13 May. He will be followed by Justice BR Gawai from May 14, the Chief Justice of the country.
