Hyderabad: The decomposed bodies of a man and his two young children were discovered inside a locked apartment on Monday morning in Hyderabad’s Kondapur. Preliminary investigations suggest the man may have killed his children before taking his own life, possibly following a dispute with his wife.
The deceased have been identified as Subhash, a laboratory technician by profession, and his children, aged 13 and 9. According to police, the incident is believed to have occurred nearly three days ago, with the bodies only discovered after neighbours reported a foul odour emanating from the flat.
“Yesterday, around 9 am, we received a phone call reporting a decomposed smell from a room. Upon reaching the spot, we found that two children and their father had died,” said an officer from Kondapur police station.
Subhash was reportedly found hanging from the ceiling, while the children’s lifeless bodies were discovered on a bed in another room.“We suspect that the father killed his children and then committed suicide by hanging himself, possibly due to a dispute with his wife. We believe the incident occurred three days ago,” the officer added.

Investigation Underway

Police have registered a case and are currently gathering more details about the family's recent history. The bodies have been shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem examination, and further investigation is underway.
