Alexander-Arnold agrees long-term deal

According to The AthleticAlexander-Arnold has agreed to sign a six-year deal to keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2031.

The report claims that the final details are being ironed out, with the right-back expected to put pen to paper on his Real Madrid contract in the coming weeks.

No agreement in place for Alexander-Arnold release

According to journalist Ben JacobsLiverpool have not reached an agreement to release Alexander-Arnold early from his contract.

Real Madrid are willing to offer £500,000 to recruit the full-back before the Club World Cup, but Liverpool are believed to be looking for more than £1m.

As a result, Alexander-Arnold may have to wait until the start of next season to make his competitive Real Madrid debut unless the two clubs can reach an agreement in the near future.

Meanwhile, the Liverpool academy product has just three games left to play before he bids farewell to his boyhood club.

The Premier League champions will play host to Arsenal on Sunday before they wrap up the campaign with games against Brighton & Albion and Crystal Palace.
