A 70-year-old man was arrested after allegedly crashing his vehicle through the front gates of Jennifer Aniston’s Bel Air mansion on Monday, May 5. The incident occurred around 12:20 pm local time on the 900 block of Airole Way, while Aniston was at home.
Jennifer Aniston is an American actress, producer, and businesswoman best known for her role as Rachel Green on the hit TV series Friends, which earned her an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
Her security detained the man who sustained minor injuries until the Los Angeles police arrived at the spot and took him into custody without incident. He is expected to be charged with felony vandalism.
Initial investigations suggest that the crash was intentional, and later it was revealed that the man has a minor criminal history.
The fact that Aniston was home at the time brings a chilling edge to what could have been a far more serious incident, but beyond the gates that were damaged Monday, Aniston’s home is a retreat that has played a key role in her personal life.
Aniston's Bel-Air residence, a 3.4-acre property purchased in 2011 for $21 million, is a mid-century mansion designed by architect A. Quincy Jones. The 8,500-square-foot home features four bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, a wine cellar, a pool, a guesthouse, and offers unobstructed ocean and city views.
The property has been a significant part of Aniston's life, serving as the venue for her 2015 wedding to actor Justin Theroux. Following their divorce in 2018, Aniston continued to reside there, often sharing glimpses of her home life on social media.
But now Aniston prepares to relocate to a newly renovated $14.8 million Tuscan-style farmhouse in Montecito, purchased from Oprah Winfrey in 2022. The move aligns with a trend of celebrities, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Prince Harry, seeking the tranquility of the Santa Barbara community
