War mock drill across the country on 7 May; These 10 tasks we should do as a common citizen

New Delhi. India War Mock Drill 7 May: Tension between India and Pakistan has reached its peak after the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. India is fully prepared to face any situation and challenges. Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry has ordered all states to drill war mock drills on 7 May. Civil Defense Mock Drill will be organized on May 7 in 244 districts across the country. Its main objective was to show how citizens would deal with emergency situations during the war. Especially training will be provided about the preparation of air strikes and other attacks.
In this mock drill, mainly the general public will be prepared to remain calm, take shelter at safe places and follow the instructions issued by the administration during air strikes and other attacks. This study will be particularly important in sensitive states like Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat, which are close to the India-Pakistan border. This mock drill will be held up to the village level. In which fire service, home guards and civil protection organizations will be active.
What should citizens do?
Aerial attack sirens will be played during the mock drill. This is a practice, so there is no need to fear. When you hear the siren, be calm, do not confuse. Follow the instructions given by the administration.
Immediately after the siren rings, take shelter from an open area to a safe building, house or bunker. If you are outside, enter a nearby building, and try to reach a safe place within 5–10 minutes of siren ringing. If you have bunkers in your area, go there.
Crash blackouts will be practiced during the mock drill. In which all the lights will be closed. Which will make it difficult for the enemy to achieve the goal. Cover the windows and doors of your house with black clothes or something. The light of the house should not be extinguished. While driving on the road, place the car and close the lights.
Citizens and students will be provided civil security training in mock drills. So that you can be taught how to protect yourself in the event of an attack. Participate in training, know what to do in emergency. The bunker will practice hiding locations, basic health facilities and security schemes.
People will be taken to a safe place in mock drills. Follow the administration's instructions, do not be negligent. Note how you and your family will survive. Find out about the way out and safe places.
Get information about government alerts on TV and radio. Important instructions will be broadcast by the administration during the mock drill. Beware of rumors, get information only from official sources.
The use of emergency kits can be explained in mock drills. This includes water, food, basic health facilities, flashlight batteries, important documents, additional clothes and sheets. Make a plan to provide this kit easily.
Cooperate with local administration, civil security members and police. If you are associated with civil defense or homeguard, recognize your responsibility and help others. Work closely with your neighbors and community to keep everyone safe.
Explain practice to young children and make sure they are not afraid. Provide information about siren, blackout process. Help the elderly and the needy, help them take them to a safe place.
Do not believe in any rumor on social media. Do not believe fake news, only follow official information and government instructions.
