When 280 players are put up for sale in the T20 Mumbai League auction here on Wednesday, rising talents Tanush Kotian, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, and Ayush Mhatre will be among the main attractions.
Wankhede Stadium will host the league’s third season, which will include eight clubs, from May 26 to June 8. In addition to Raghuvanshi, Kotian, and the 17-year-old Mhatre, who has been making headlines with his incredible exploits in the present IPL, Musheer Khan is another major draw.
Players that consistently do well on the home circuit, such as Shams Mulani and Siddhesh Lad, are also included in the pool.
As teams try to put together their perfect combinations, there should be fierce rivalry and savvy buying throughout the auction.
“The breadth and caliber of talent that Mumbai cricket has to offer are reflected in this fascinating player pool. According to Mumbai Cricket Association secretary Abhay Hadap, “it offers franchises great options to build competitive squads because it features a remarkable mix of established names and emerging stars.”
