Head coach Steve Kerr expressed concern about Curry's availability for Game 2, stating, "We're definitely game-planning for him to not be available on Thursday, but we don't know yet. With a hamstring, it's hard to imagine that he would play Thursday."

Before leaving the game, Curry had scored 13 points in 13 minutes, which was crucial for the Warriors' 99-88 victory over the Timberwolves. Despite Curry's absence, the team managed to secure the win, with major contributions from Buddy Hield, who scored 24 points, and Jimmy Butler, who added 20 points.

Curry's injury comes after a grueling seven-game series against the Houston Rockets, with only a short rest period before the start of the semifinals. After Curry’s uncertainty, the Warriors are preparing to play without their star point guard in Game 2, scheduled for Thursday in Minneapolis. The results of Curry's MRI will clarify his status for the remainder of the series.

As the Warriors aim to take a 2-0 lead in the series, the team will rely on its depth to compensate for Curry's potential absence. Besides Buddy Hield, the Warriors are keeping big expectations from Jimmy Butler, who has contributed much to flip the scoring switch, especially since Stephen Curry was injured.
