Curd - 1/4 cup
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Oil - 1 tsp
Water - as per requirement

Method of preparation:
1. Prepare the dough:
1. Mix flour, salt, and baking soda in a large vessel.
2. Now add curd and some water to it and knead a soft dough.
3. Finally, add a spoonful of oil and mash well and cover and keep aside for 30 minutes.

1. Make medium-sized balls of dough and roll thick rotis with a rolling pin (keep them a little thick, like tandoori).
3. Heat the pan:
Heat the pan well. It would be better if it is an iron pan and not a non-stick pan.
4. Start roasting:
1. Apply some water on one side of the roti and stick the wet side on the pan.
2. Now turn the pan upside down and roast the roti on direct flame by turning it, until it starts puffing up and starts burning slightly from the top, like it happens in a tandoor.
5. Apply butter:
Take out the tandoori roti and apply butter or ghee on top.
