Nazara's Absolute Sports Buys Two Titan Insider Owned Digital IPs

Gaming major Nazara Technologies’ subsidiary Absolute Sports is set to acquire two of Titan Insider Digital IPs — TJRWrestling.net and ITRWrestling.com in an all cash deal.

Absolute Sports will be acquiring both the companies via its US subsidiary, Sportskeeda Inc, for INR 10.5 Cr.

The deal is expected to close within the next 45 days, the company said in a statement.

With these acquisitions, Sportskeeda seeks to expand its US footprint along with strengthening its position in the combat sports segment like wrestling.

Commenting on the acquisition, Absolute Sports’ chief executive officer Ajay Pratap Singh said, “This acquisition aligns perfectly with our vision to be the leading go-to destination for wrestling content worldwide. It also reinforces Absolute Sports’ dedication to expanding its footprint in the fast-growing US media market through a targeted and impactful M&A strategy.”

Founded in 2009 and 2020 respectively, TJRWrestling.net and ITRWrestling.com are news platforms, publishing stories around wrestling tournaments. Both the IPs combinedly attract 1.7 Mn monthly active users and recorded $722K (around INR 6.1 Cr) revenue in 2024.

On the other hand, Absolute Sports was founded in 2010. It is the legal entity of Sportskeeda, which operates in the media and entertainment industry, offering sports content, schedules, live scores, and gaming-related services. Besides, it also owns ProFootballNetwork.com, SoapCentral.com, and DeltiasGaming.com.

Notably, Absolute Sports became Nazara’s wholly owned subsidiary after the gaming giant infused INR 69.17 Cr to buy an additional 8.97% stake. Earlier, Nazara bought 6.05% stake in Absolute Sports for INR 19.99 Cr in 2022 and later in December 2024, it acquired 10.26% stake for INR 72.73 Cr.

For instance, Sportskeeda entered into to acquire the latter’s IP rights for $900,000 in an all-cash deal.

It also picked Inc in an all-cash deal worth $1.82 Mn.
