Prime Minister Modi Leads Cabinet Meeting on Operation Sindoor

New Delhi: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a meeting with the Union Cabinet to discuss Operation Sindoor, a strategic military initiative executed by Indian forces targeting nine terrorist camps across the border during the early hours.

During the session, PM Modi assured the ministers that the operation was flawlessly executed, with no errors reported.

He highlighted the Army's precision in carrying out the mission, which adhered strictly to the meticulous plans laid out beforehand.

Sources indicate that the Prime Minister commended the armed forces for their 'commendable job' and 'impeccable execution,' emphasizing their dedication to safeguarding national security.

Cabinet members expressed their unwavering support for PM Modi's leadership and praised the military for their successful operation.

They affirmed that the entire nation stands united behind the Prime Minister and the armed forces in the ongoing battle against terrorism.

This strike, aimed at terror launchpads and camps facilitating infiltration, sends a powerful message against cross-border terrorism.

In a landmark tri-services operation, the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force executed precise strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, responding to the tragic Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 civilian lives on April 22.

PM Modi closely monitored the operation throughout the night.

The strikes targeted bases in Pakistan and PoK that were planning and executing terrorist attacks. The operation, named 'Operation Sindoor,' pays tribute to the women who lost their husbands in the Pahalgam incident.

Two female officers from the Indian Armed Forces briefed the media on Operation Sindoor on Wednesday.

Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, alongside Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, reported that the military strikes occurred between 1:05 and 1:30 a.m. based on credible intelligence, aiming to dismantle terror infrastructure, launch pads, and indoctrination centers across the border.

The women officers provided a detailed account of the calibrated retaliation and outlined the operations of the terror factories located at those sites.
