On Monday, in the centre of the capital before they appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch a spectacular demonstration by the Red Arrows. According to lip reader Nicola Hickling, just before the flypast arrived, the future Queen told her children: "Eyes to the sky". Ms Hickling told magazine that Kate told her youngest, Prince Louis: 'When the flypast comes, you will see it smoke blue, white and red."

Louis added in delight: "Look at the back/black one, they have lots of tanks," as he pointed to the aircraft.

The youngest Wales delighted royal fans once again with his appearance on Monday after he was spotted showcasing his usual antics throughout the event.

Louis, who during past public appearances has stolen the show, did not disappoint royal watchers and was seen at one moment sticking out his tongue - a trademark gesture for the young royal.

He also held his dad, Prince William's gold aiguillettes, the braided loops hanging from the shoulder of his RAF uniform.

Louis appeared to touch his father's shoulder again, and also held out his hands palms up as if he was testing for rain, which later fell.

Elsewhere, Louis got royal fans in stitches after he was caught mimicking older brother George, after the first brushed his hair away during the ceremony.
