Missi roti recipe: If you are bored by eating the same bread every day and want to try something different in food, then Punjabi style missi roti can be a great option for you. Usually when people go to the restaurant to eat something special, they order tandoori or masala rotis. But now you can make this tasty roti easily at home.

Missi roti is prepared from gram flour and wheat flour and has a lot of spices. If it is served with curd, pickle or makkan, the taste doubles.

Material (Missi roti recipe)

  • Besan – 1 cup
  • Wheat flour – ½ cup
  • Onion – 1 finely chopped
  • Green chili – 1 finely chopped
  • Coriander leaf – 2 tablespoons
  • Fennel
  • Kasuri Methi – 1 Tsp
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric – ½ tsp
  • Amchur – 1 tsp
  • Cumin – ½ tsp
  • Ginger (grated) – 1 tsp
  • Calonji – 1 tsp
  • Oil or ghee – 2 tsp
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Butter – to apply from above

Rudgery (Missi roti recipe)

  • First of all, finely chop the onion and green chillies. Then filter gram flour and wheat flour in a vessel.
  • Add turmeric, red chili, coriander powder, garam masala, cumin and ginger and mix.
  • Now add chopped onion, green chillies, kasoori fenugreek and green coriander and mix it well.
  • Add two spoons of oil and mix. Then add some water and knead the dough. The dough is not too hard or too soft, just medium.
  • Now cover this dough for 10 minutes and keep it aside.
  • Make equal dough balls after the scheduled time.
  • Heat the griddle and roll the dough. Sprinkle a little fennel and green coriander over it.
  • Now pour the roti on the pan and roast from both sides while pressing it with a cotton cloth.
  • When the bread becomes light golden, take it out and serve by applying butter on top.
