is set to receive significant backing in the upcoming summer transfer window as Arsenal look to solidify their progress with major trophies. Arteta could make four signings across all areas of the pitch with the Gunners' hierarchy prepared to provide the funds for the Spanish manager to make upgrades. have gone five seasons without silverware following Wednesday night's Champions League semi-final .

Arsenal also missed out on the Premier League title for a third successive season and fell at the Carabao Cup in the semi-final stage. The north Londoners have struggled with injuries and key players losing form for periods this term and are now targeting attackers to help support Bukayo Saka as they push to win a trophy but could also recruit in midfield and in goal.

The report that Arsenal's primary concern is to sign a centre-forward. Arteta is a big fan of Newcastle's Alexander Isak who is also admired by Liverpool but the Swede carries a gigantic price tag in excess of £100million. More attainable strikers include Sporting frontman Viktor Gyokeres - who is highly rated by Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta - and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko.

Arsenal sought to sign Sesko last summer but he chose to remain in Germany for another year instead. After failing to strengthen up top, Arteta and co. have paid the price with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus sidelined for lengthy periods this season. Midfielder Mikel Merino again deputised up top in Paris.

Arsenal's higher-ups are aware they must address the need for a striker this summer. They are also looking for a winger to compete with Gabriel Martinelli on the left-hand side with Athletic Club wide-man Nico Williams a target.

On top of their plans to recruit in attack, Martin Zubimendi, the Real Sociedad midfielder, is wanted. It is claimed Arsenal believe they already have a deal in place to bring the Spaniard, who rejected newly-crowned champions Liverpool a year ago, to the Emirates for £51million.

While Bournemouth centre-back Dean Huijsen is admired and has a £50million release clause, it is thought sales would be needed for a move for the Spaniard to become a possibility. Arteta already has ample options in defence.

Thomas Partey, Jorginho and Kieran Tierney all stand to leave as free agents but Partey could yet sign a new contract to stay in the capital of England. On top of any free exits, Oleksandr Zinchenko could leave after being demoted to squad player status.

Leandro Trossard is entering the final 12 months of his contract and has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia. He could be sold to free up funds for a new left winger.

Jakub Kiwior is the likeliest of any central defenders to leave but has impressed recently so Arteta may prefer to keep the Pole. Takehiro Tomiyasu would have been a candidate to depart but a long-term injury complicates matters as he is unavailable until the end of 2025.

Arsenal could also pursue a back-up goalkeeper to challenge No.1 David Raya with Espanyol's Joan Garcia a long-term target.
