These have not all contributed intensively in many different fields, not in any one subject.

1. Cognitive Flexibility : Mental flexibility from which a person imbibes new information quickly.
2. Openness to Experience : This personality qualities show how open the person is to know, experience and adopt ideas.
3. Intrinsic Motivation : When a person acquires knowledge not just to earn name or money, but for the spiritual happiness of learning.
4. Metacognition : This means “thinking on the process of thinking”. It plays an important role in becoming polymaths as it gives the person the ability to understand and improve the style of learning.

Experts say that today's era is of internet, open education and multi-disciplinary education. Therefore, becoming polymath has become more possible than ever before.
