[India] Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) left-arm seamer Yash Dayal spoke about his attitude and pregame anxiety before of Friday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 matchup against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
Dayal gave the Men in Yellow the Deja Vu of last season by protecting 15 runs in the last overs against Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni, completing a first-time double against CSK and solidifying his position as one of RCB’s most dependable spinners.
Dayal has claimed 10 wickets at an average of 34.60 so far this season, with top figures of 2/18 and an economy rate of 9.61.
“I try to keep my anxiety under control before a game, and instead of fretting, I try not to concentrate about the things that I cannot control. Second, I try to focus as much on the process as I can rather than the batter in light of what transpired in 2023. During the pre-game news conference, Yash Dayal said, “I try to focus on execution.”
The next match between the Rajat Patidar-led team and the Lucknow-based team is scheduled for Friday at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
With eight victories and three defeats, the RCB team now holds the second spot with 16 points. Conversely, LSG is now in seventh position with 10 points from 11 games, having won five and lost six of them so far.
