Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, gave appointment letters to 543 recently hired assistant teachers and lecturers on Thursday, encouraging them to use creativity and accountability to mould the next generation. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission used an open recruiting procedure to choose the instructors for government secondary schools.
Speaking at Lok Bhavan, Chief Minister Yogi characterised the event as a symbol of India’s increasing power and independence. He said that Operation Sindoor exemplified the aggressive posture of a “New India” that forcefully defends its sovereignty when it is questioned without interfering. “Anyone who jeopardises India’s unity will not escape punishment.” In response, it will go into the enemy’s lair,” he said.
In order to satisfy contemporary needs, the Chief Minister stressed the significance of modernising educational processes. He emphasised the need of technological integration, smart classrooms, and engaging teaching strategies, saying, “If we don’t educate our youth as per current requirements, the future generation will not forgive us.” He emphasised that India’s schools must be the cornerstone of a developed nation.
More than eight lakh young people have been employed by the Yogi administration since 2017, including 40,000 secondary school teachers. He attributed this achievement to an impartial hiring process devoid of recommendations. In order to increase the effectiveness and enjoyment of classroom instruction, the CM also urged instructors to use straightforward examples.
According to Yogi Adityanath, secondary education in the state, which was formerly beset by widespread cheating, has undergone a tremendous shift as a result of initiatives like Operation Kayakalp and Project Alankar.
The Chief Minister laid the cornerstone for small indoor stadiums in 23 government intercollegiates spread throughout 18 districts, including Lucknow, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, and Amethi, as part of a significant infrastructure upgrade. With a budget of Rs 4.92 crore, each stadium would be built on 2,500 square meters and have amenities for chess, handball, volleyball, basketball, badminton, kabaddi, table tennis, and wrestling. For the first phase, Rs 2.16 crore has already been approved.
Principals of five schools selected from 778 secondary schools that successfully created ICT and Atal Tinkering Labs also received certificates.
There were also touching moments during the ceremony when recently hired instructors expressed their joy and goals. “I feel very proud and will carry out my responsibilities with honesty,” said Shivani Vajpayee of Lucknow. “I have worked hard for this,” said Manisha Mani Tripathi, a Gorakhpur native who is now stationed in Sitapur. I’ll encourage creativity and educate in an innovative way. “As a history teacher, I will make sure students learn important lessons to shape their future,” Pooja Bhati of Amroha said.
During their speeches, Secondary Education Minister Gulab Devi and Finance Minister Suresh Khanna emphasised the importance of teachers in teaching pupils both academically and ethically, as well as the importance of being on time and being dedicated.
DG School Education Kanchan Verma, Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mahendra Dev, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance & Secondary Education) Deepak Kumar, and Acting Chief Secretary Anil Kumar were among the high-ranking officials in attendance.
