Update on the Varanasi-Patna-Howrah High-Speed Rail Corridor: The plan for operating high-speed trains in Bihar is complete, according to the authorities’ statement on Friday.
The project’s land purchase procedure is anticipated to start shortly, the authority said, adding that many talks have been conducted in this respect. The high-speed train will go through five railway stations in Bihar on its trip from Howrah to Varanasi. The much-anticipated project is seen as essential, as it is anticipated to drastically reduce travel time.
The capital city oftna and the cities of Buxar, Ara, Jehanabad, and Gaya are among the railway stations in Bihar that the ultrafast train will stop at. According to the officials, the train’s top speed is probably going to be 350 kilometres per hour. They also said that stops and elevated tracks would be constructed for the ambitious project. A 60.9-kilometre elevated track will be constructed in the Patna area, according to the officials. According to the statement, the project’s land purchase procedure will shortly begin.
According to the administration, the trip from Varanasi to Howrah would be finished fairly quickly. Because it would connect two important cities, the project will also help the people of Bihar. In addition to greatly reducing travel time, the initiative will increase financial activity.
Through a number of important Eastern Indian towns, the project is intended to link Varanasi and Howrah. It seeks to cut down on travel time to a little over two hours between these important cities. In order to make it more convenient for the passengers, the railway officials stated on Thursday that the timetable of several trains from Muzaffarpur to Anand Vihar has been modified.
According to the authorities, the decision was made in anticipation of a notable spike in passenger volume over the following several weeks as a result of summer holidays. They said that travellers heading to the nation’s capital and other areas would benefit from the decision.
