High-Level Security Meeting in New Delhi

New Delhi: On Friday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh convened a crucial meeting at the Defence Ministry to evaluate 'Operation Sindoor' and the ongoing security dynamics along the Pakistan border.

Key military leaders were present, including Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, and Defence Secretary R.K. Singh.

The Defence Minister received updates on 'Operation Sindoor', a significant military initiative launched following a terrorist incident in Pahalgam that resulted in 26 fatalities.

The military leadership discussed recent developments post-operation and assessed the border situation with Pakistan.

Sources indicate that strategic military planning and readiness were focal points of the discussions.

The military officials briefed the Defence Minister about Pakistan's repeated attempts to strike Indian military and civilian targets, all of which were successfully countered by Indian forces.

India's armed forces have effectively retaliated, causing considerable damage to Pakistan, including the downing of three Pakistani fighter jets during aerial engagements. Additionally, drone incursions and missile strikes from Pakistan were intercepted, with several drones destroyed.

Notably, India's S-400 air defence system successfully neutralised missile attacks aimed at Jammu and Kashmir, intercepting eight incoming missiles.

The service chiefs also informed the Defence Minister about coordinated Pakistani assaults spanning from Jammu and Kashmir to Rajasthan, which included attempts to attack military installations in Pathankot, Ferozepur, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, and Jaisalmer, utilizing fighter jets, drones, rockets, and missiles.

India's response included decisive countermeasures, such as the downing of enemy aircraft.

The Defence Minister received a comprehensive briefing on the Indian military's deployment strategies, the weaponry employed in counterattacks, and the effectiveness of India's multi-layered air defence system.

Last night, Pakistan attempted to target Indian military bases again, but these efforts were thwarted by India's advanced defence capabilities.

The Defence Minister commended the armed forces for their readiness and prompt actions in neutralising potential threats.
