Rupesh Kumar worked in big films like Andaaz Sita aur Geeta The Great Gambler Chacha Bhatija Jaani Dushman Bade Dilwala Kal Aaj aur Kal Sharafat Aashiyana Paap aur Punya Choron Ki Baraat Hum Paanch and Guru. Later he also produced and directed films like Meri Jaan Hi Meri Jaan.
Talking about his personal life Rupesh Kumars elder daughter Mumtaz Khan was married to Dilip Kumar sahabs nephew Zahid Khan. In this sense Rupesh Kumar was Dilip Kumars relative. Rupesh Kumars cousin sister Mumtaz had worked in big films in her time. Rupesh Kumar died of a heart attack. He had a heart attack during the Filmfare Awards ceremony in 1995 after which he could not be saved.
