Mumbai In an emotional homage to her mother, Sushma Dhar, actress Sandeepa Dhar spoke about her mother’s everlasting strength, elegance, and perseverance ahead of Mother’s Day 2025.

Dhar described how her mother left Kashmir, where she had her roots, and began afresh in a foreign area, creating a whole new life from scratch.

“She didn’t have any friends or family nearby, but she had bravery and started a life with Dad from scratch, so we kids never had to bear the burden of her hardships,” she said.

The actress gave her mother credit for teaching her the morals that still guide her now. “It brings me such delight to go with her. Every vacation is made special by her sense of humour, her willingness to try new things, and her “never say no” attitude,” she said. Dhar went on to say that she had inherited her mother’s fierce work ethic and competitive nature.

Dhar discovered the ideal balance in her mother in a society that often views compassion and power as diametrically opposed traits. She demonstrated to me that having empathy while standing tall is just as important as being strong. She embodies those ideals every day, which is why I respect and care about other people.

The lines, “Everything I am today carries her imprint,” summed up the poignant message. You have my undying love.

Regarding his career, Dhar most recently starred in “Pyar Ka Professor,” a film directed by Akshay Choubey. On the Amazon MX Player program, she was seen sharing the screen alongside Mahesh Balraj and Pranav Sachdeva.

The plot of “Pyar Ka Professor” centres on a Delhi image consultant who doubles as a dating coach and teaches lonely guys his infallible 5-step process. When he is hired by a politician and falls in love with the man’s wife, things get problematic.
