Inspired by Operation Sindoor producer Nicky Bhagnani announced that he is making a film with the same title. However soon he received massive backlash and has now issued an apology regarding the same. Taking to his official Instagram handle he shared an apology. In his post Nicky explained that as a filmmaker he was moved by the brave step taken by the Indian army to avenge the Pahalgam attack where 26 people were barbarically killed by terrorists. He wrote My sincere apologies for recently announcing a film based on Operation Sindoor inspired by the recent heroic efforts of our Indian armed forces. The intent was never to hurt or provoke anyones sentiments. As a filmmaker I was moved by the courage sacrifice and strength of our soldiers and leadership and simply wished to bring this powerful story to light. This project was born out of deep respect and love for our nation and not for fame and monetization. He further added However I understand the timing and sensitivity may have caused discomfort or pain to some. For that I deeply regret. This is not just a film its an emotion of the entire nation and a social image of the country globally. Thanks to our armed forces and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji who make us proud by working day and night for the country with the motto of always putting the nation first. Nicky concluded the post by writing Our love and prayers will always be with the families of the martyrs as well as the brave warriors who are fighting on the border day and night to give us a new morning. Mr. Vashu Bhagnani & Mr. Jackky Bhagnani are not associated with this project in any capacity whatsoever. Yesterday Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films in collaboration with The Content Engineer shared the poster for the film Operation Sindoor which features a female army personnel donning the uniform with a rifle as she applies sindoor.
