New Delhi: Japanese electronics veteran Panasonic, who supplied battery to the Tesla company amid the war situations between India and Pakistan, has made a big announcement. The company on Friday informed that 10,000 employees have been announced to be fired from the job. It is just 4 percent of about 2,30,000 employees working in the company. The company has taken this decision keeping in mind the profit.
Panasonic has said that all group companies are about to review. Especially sales and indirect department. Also, the organization and staff are also going to be reviewed. The company aims to cut jobs of 5000 employees in Japan and 5000 employees from other countries. However, during this time the company can follow the label rules regulations applicable in every country.
From cooker to TV and refrigerator, all electronics appliances have been made from house to house. Osaka based company is the main supplier of the battery for Tesla, the company that makes electric vehicles of Elon Musk. The company is also connected to the Energy sector, housing sector and auto sector. Panasonic has designed an outline of a management reform program to solve several stuctural issues in the company in the month of February.
On Friday, the company said that through this reform program, the company’s target is to get its profit at least 150 billion yen i.e. $ 1 billion. In its entire year income report released on Friday, Panasonic has estimated a decline of 15 percent in profit and 8 percent decline in sales this year.
In an interview given by Panasonic Holdings CEO Yuki Kusumi in an interview given to a Japanese newspaper in the month of April, it is necessary to trim employees to perform better than other companies.
