In a shocking incident in the Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, a young man reportedly killed his mother during a minor argument on Saturday evening and subsequently fled the scene, according to police reports.

Shivank Singh, the area officer of Manjhanpur, revealed that the incident occurred in Purwa village, where 75-year-old Mehrunnisa was attacked by her son, Mohammad Zahid, aged 25. The altercation arose over the removal of a curtain from a window, which led Zahid to strike his mother on the head with a stone.

Mehrunnisa sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the district hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Following the incident, law enforcement arrived at the scene, took possession of Mehrunnisa's body, and sent it for autopsy. They have initiated a search for the absconding suspect, Zahid. Authorities confirmed that a case will be filed based on the family's complaint, and legal proceedings will follow.
