The Indian cricket team has to go on a tour of England for the Test series of 5 matches where all the fans are very keen for this series. The BCCI has also started planning squad for this series. Some young players may get a chance in this series.

However, there are many questions about the election of Mohammed Shami for this Test series. Mohammed Shami seems difficult for this Test series to join the squad as he has been seen in very poor form for the last few months.

The future of mohammed shami’s test career:

After returning from injury, Mohammed Shami is not in some good form and that is why they do not come forward as the first option for the Test series. He played his final Test match in the 2023 World Test Championship final itself.

BCCI cleared the intentions about Mohammed Shami:

A BCCI source said in his statement about Mohammed Shami’s Test career, “At the moment, Shami is not being selected automatically. It has been months since he returned to international cricket, but he has barely come to the rhythm.”

He further said, “While selecting India’s teams, the performance of IPL is not usually considered, Shami is struggling to complete his run-up and the ball is not reaching the keeper, as he used to be before his Akilies Tendon’s injury. They always go back to the dressing room after resting for a short time”

Mohammed Shami’s poor form:

In IPL 2025, Mohammed Shami is seen in very poor form where he has spent 180 balls in this season in which he has spent 337 runs from an economy of 11.23. They are not seen bowling on a line and length from the continuity.
