There is now news that many foreign players will not return to play in the IPL 2025. Most of the players had returned to their respective countries after the postponement of IPL 2025 due to India-Pakistan tension. Now, when the IPL is being considered to start again, the return of those players is in doubt. Most of such players are Australians, about whom it was said in the media that there is no pressure on them to return. If this happens, BCCI will also be ready with its decision, and then the same thing will happen as we have seen with Harry Brook.

BCCI will ban players who do not come to play IPL

Actually, from IPL 2025, BCCI has made a new law for those players who used to leave the league midway and return or skip the league on some pretext. From this time, BCCI is dealing strictly with such foreign players. BCCI has decided to ban such players in the IPL for 2 years. BCCI has already used this rule on England's Harry Brook. And, now the time is coming to try the same decision on Australian players as well.

Suspense over the return of Australian players

Now, first of all, know who those Australian players, whose return after the resumption of IPL 2025 is in suspense. Among such players, the name of Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc is at the forefront. According to media reports, Starc's manager has indicated that he may not return to India. Similarly, the chances of the return of Josh Hazlewood, who is recovering from a shoulder injury, are also low now. The same is the case with Pat Cummins, Travis Head.

Why do Australian players not want to return?

It is believed that the strings of Australian players not returning for IPL 2025 are connected to the WTC Final, which is starting on June 11. And, the Australian team can reach England on June 6. Cricket Australia does not want its players to become unfit or suffer any kind of injury by playing IPL before such an important match.

BCCI can decide to impose a ban of 2 years

BCCI is considering starting IPL 2025 from 16 May. It is just waiting for the green signal from the Government of India. Apart from this, there is also news about extending the league till 30 May. A total of 17 matches are yet to be played in IPL 2025, out of which 13 are group stage matches. If Australian players come for these matches, then it is fine. But, if they do not come, then BCCI can take a big decision against them and ban them for 2 years.
