Reliance Power: Reliance Power announced on Monday that its subsidiary Reliance NU Energe won the largest stake in SJVN’s tariff -based auction. The company has received 350 MW solar power generation and 175 MW/700 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) allocation. On 12 May 2025, the company’s stock opened at ₹ 42.40 against a shutdown of ₹ 38.65. After this, the stock rose 10 percent to a new height. The upper circuit limit is ₹ 46.38. The stock crossed Rs 43 at 10 am.
The stock increased by 10 percent in three months and 75 percent in a year. This stock has given 250 percent return in three years. FII purchases continue. As of December 2025, this share has increased from 12.96 percent to 13.21 percent as compared to December.
The portfolio of Reliance Power will add 600 MW peak solar installed capacity and 700 MW of energy storage. This has reached the company’s total clean energy pipeline 2.5 GWP solar and> 2.5 GWH BESS, making it the largest solar + battery storage company in India.
The winner tariff for this project has been set at Rs 3.33 per unit (KWH), which will remain stable for the next 25 years. It is considered one of the most competitive rates in India’s energy transition model. The project will be developed on the build-on-operate (BOO) model.
The project was part of the 1,200 MW solar + 600 MW / 2,400 MW BESS ISTS connected tender. 19 institutions participated in the tender, out of which 18 qualified for the e-reverse auction. More than 4 times applications were received for tender, which reflects the strong demand for battery-based renewable energy in the region.
This project requires at least 4 -hour battery discharge window per day. This will provide reliable green power supply to the state distribution companies (discoms) during busy time.
Reliance NU Satek, a 100% -owned subsidiary of Reliance NU Energy, has recently signed a 25 -year power purchasing agreement (PPA) with SECI. The project will be Asia’s largest solar + BESS project. 930 MW solar + 465 MW / 1860 MW Battery Storage. Total estimated investment: ₹ 10,000 crore. Fixed fee: ₹ 3.53/KWH (for 25 years)
Both these projects of Reliance Power will not only strengthen the company’s strategic green energy change, but will also promote India’s renewable energy goals. The SJVN auction has a major victory in the auction and the mega PPA with SECI has established Reliance as one of the largest integrated solar + storage energy companies in India.
