Eurovision presenter Scott Mills has shared his take on his co-star Rylan Clark's love life and claims he's ready to find that special someone.

Rylan, 36, hasn't had a significant relationship since his marriage to Dan Neal came to an end in 2021.

But close friend Scott has revealed that Rylan has often mentioned that he is looking for a man that shares similar traits to his own husband, Sam Vaughn.

Talking openly to The Mirror, Scott, 52, said: Rylan needs to find his version of Sam because that's what he needs.

"Sometimes Rylan is like, 'Oh, I wish I had someone like Sam,' and it's like, 'Hey, you have got all the time in the world.' I know deep down he would love to find somebody."

However, Scott is reassured by Rylan's age and believes he still has plenty of time.

He explained: "It took me a long time to find the right one. Not discounting any of my other relationships because I'm on good terms with people. But it took me quite a long time and it's worth it in the end because you know it's the right thing."

Scott and Sam married last year, with Scott revealing that he feels everything has fallen into place.

He said: "I had such a mad year last year, it was the best year of my life. I'm honestly the happiest I've ever been in my life.

"I honestly feel that because I feel safe and secure with him that every area has fallen into place. That will affect how good you are on air, how you appear, how you look, if you look happy... People now say to me every day, 'Oh my God, you look so happy with life.' And maybe they wouldn't have said that before. I really feel like I finally sorted it out and everything is in order."

As well as winning BBC's Race Across the World with his partner last year, Scott is getting ready to be a part of the Eurovision presenter line-up.

Scott will return to the commentary booth, teaming up with Rylan to deliver live coverage of the grand final. The duo will be broadcasting straight from the heart of the action in Switzerland, airing on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.

Supporting the UK's entry, Remember Monday, he said: "I cannot wait to be back in the commentary booth with Rylan, who will no doubt have perfected every dance routine for all 37 countries. We'll be cheering on Remember Monday... who I've already agreed to get matching tattoos with if they get into the Top 5!"

The Eurovision Song Contest final airs Saturday, May 17 at 8pm on BBC One. The semi-finals are on Tuesday, May 13 and Thursday, May 15 on BBC One at 8pm
