A Tribute to the Armed Forces at Eden Gardens

In a moment of heartfelt appreciation, Kolkata's cricket community has come together to honor India's Armed Forces. The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has unveiled a striking banner at the iconic Eden Gardens clubhouse, emblazoned with the message, “Justice is Served! Jai Hind!” This display is more than just fabric; it represents a powerful tribute. The CAB issued a statement emphasizing:

“Our Armed Forces are true heroes.”

The CAB recognized the sacrifices made by the Navy, Army, and Air Force, acknowledging their relentless dedication.

Snehasish Ganguly, the CAB President, expressed a strong sense of patriotism, stating,

“We are extremely proud of our armed forces. They are providing us with security and that is why we are living in peace.”

This gesture of respect comes during a time of heightened national tension. The IPL matches at Eden Gardens have been put on hold, reflecting the seriousness of the situation following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which has increased Indo-Pak tensions.
