Popular Pakistani TV actress Ayeza Khan has been criticized by fans after posting a recent comment taking pride in taking formal acting classes.

Ayeza, who is famous for her impeccable performances in popular dramas like Pul-e-Siraat, Buri Aurat, and Pyaray Afzal, is not only a name that is well-known among households in the entertainment industry, but she is also a social media star, where her interactive posts always surprise the fans.

But when Pakistan-India tensions recently flared up, fans had hoped for a patriotic comment from the actress. Her social media silence then let down many. Now, after the tensions have eased off, Ayeza’s comeback to Instagram with a personal message—having nothing to do with the national situation—has brought on strong reactions.

In the post, Ayeza posted pictures of her during her time at the University of the Arts London learning acting. She is pictured in the photos posing with her peers. Her caption, commemorating the value of learning, was:

“Someone in class asked me, ‘Why study when you’re already Ayeza Khan?’ I replied, ‘I’m not studying because I’m Ayeza Khan. I’m studying so I can become a role model for my daughter, my fans, and every girl who dreams by watching me.’

I want them to realize that being Ayeza is just a drop in the ocean as compared to what they can do. So never stop learning and never stop growing.

While some fans appreciated her post and commitment to self-improvement, many others criticized her for the timing and message, particularly given the recent national events.

Another one commented, “She and her husband always have an arrogant, fame-seeking thing going on. No grace. I was once a fan—no more.”

Another enraged fan commented, “You are no longer our favorite celebrity of yours after the recent silence.”

A disappointed fan added, “When will she ever stop acting so self-absorbed? This isn’t what a role model is like. This is why timely education is necessary.

One of the scathing remarks read, “When you don’t stand with your nation, nobody cares what you’re doing.”

A Glimpse of Ayeza Khan’s Career:

Born on January 15, 1991, Ayeza Khan is currently one of Pakistan’s leading actresses. With three Hum Awards and two Lux Style Awards to her credit, she is also one of the best-paid actresses in the business.

She started by taking part in the “Pantene Shine Princess” competition while she was still in school, where she was the runner-up. Within a short time, she landed a modeling opportunity in a telecommunication commercial and thus began her showbiz life. She took up acting as a career option in 2009 with an appearance in a supporting role for the drama Tum Jo Milay.

In 2010, she got a leading role in Pul-e-Siraat and then played the lead in Tootay Huay Par on Geo Entertainment in 2011. Her acting skills resulted in offers from Bollywood, which she refused.

During the height of her career, Ayeza wedded co-actor Danish Taimoor. She took a break of two years and then made a comeback in 2016 with drama Tum Kon Piya.

She has appeared in some of the most popular serials such as koi chand rakh, mohabbat tum se nafrat hai, and chupke chupke. Her iconic role as “mehwish” in the 2019 blockbuster meray paas tum ho solidified her place as a household name.
