Casualties Reported in Recent India-Pakistan Clashes

On Tuesday, the Pakistani military announced that 11 of its soldiers lost their lives during the recent conflict with India, which escalated following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam last week.

The army's statement revealed that 78 personnel from both the army and air force sustained injuries throughout the four-day confrontation, as reported by a news agency.

In response, India claimed its armed forces executed targeted strikes on nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, asserting that these operations resulted in the deaths of over 100 militants.

Following India's actions, Pakistan retaliated, leading to India reporting the deaths of approximately 30 to 40 Pakistani soldiers.

Escalating Hostilities Between India and Pakistan

After India targeted the terrorist camps, the Pakistani military retaliated by deploying drones and other weaponry against Indian military installations and civilian regions. However, Indian forces successfully intercepted many of these attacks by downing incoming projectiles.

As Pakistan continued its assaults on civilian targets, India responded with airstrikes deep within Pakistani territory, damaging critical infrastructure such as airstrips and military bases.

In the wake of the intense conflict, a senior officer from the Pakistani army reached out to his Indian counterpart, urging for a cessation of hostilities.

Last week, India reported that it had downed several Pakistani fighter jets, although it did not specify the exact number. Recently, Indian forces confirmed the downing of a Pakistani Mirage aircraft.
