In todays era of technology and VFX it has become very easy to create any kind of world on screen. Now films show even such imaginary worlds in such a wonderful way that it seems as if everything is happening in reality. But when there was no VFX era it was a very difficult task to prepare each scene. At that time directors had to use amazing tricks to make a crowd of 50 people look like 100 people. Such scenes were made after a lot of thought. Today it is easy to turn even 10 people into a crowd of 100 but in the 80s it was a big challenge. Still the creative minds of the directors made it possible. One such feat happened in the film Arjun released in 1985. There is a scene in the movie Arjun where only umbrellas are seen everywhere. This scene is very thrilling and it was equally difficult to shoot it. In this scene the director had to show a crowd of 2000 people but he had only 1000. In this scene goons attack actor Satyajit Puri and he runs through the crowd to save his life. The scene had to be shot in heavy rain. The problem was that the camera lens was getting wet repeatedly which was stopping the shooting. Because of so many umbrellas the tip of the umbrellas was pricking peoples eyes. Also the goons had to run towards the actor waving swords in the crowd which made shooting the scene even more difficult. An interesting fact related to the film is that Javed Akhtar wrote its story after reading a newspaper. According to IMDb Trivia a story published on a Mumbai gangster in the Sunday edition of Times of India inspired Javed Akhtar to write the story of Arjun.
