Users running Apple iPhones, iPads, and Android phones need to be alert. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, which comes under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Government of India, has issued a high-security warning for iPhone, iPad, and Android users. According to CERT-In, flaws have been detected in iOS, iPadOS, Android 13, 14, and 15 operating systems.

How can damage happen?

Due to a flaw in the operating system of Apple, some dangerous apps can harm your device. These dangerous apps can make your device inactive, due to which may cause you trouble running the device. On the other hand, by taking advantage of the flaw in Android 13, 14, and 15 operating systems, hackers can take control of your device and steal your personal information. In simple language, there is a risk of data theft.

These users are at risk.

According to CERT-In, iPhone XS and subsequent models, which are working on versions older than iOS 18.3, are at risk.

12.9-inch second-generation iPad Pro, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and 6th-generation iPad models, which are working on versions older than iPadOS 17.7.3, all these models are also at risk.

13 inch iPad Pro, 12.9 inch third generation 12.9 inch, 11 inch iPad Pro first generation and older models, iPad Air third generation and older models, iPad 7th generation and older models and iPad mini 5th generation and older models which are working on versions older than iPadOS 18.3, all these devices are at risk.

Do these things to avoid it

Keeping in mind the safety and privacy of users, Apple has rolled out security updates to fix the flaws detected in iOS and iPadOS. If you want to avoid hackers or scammers, then without delay, download and install the software update issued by the company in the phone.

Apple and Android users are also advised to download apps only from the official Apple App Store and Google Play Store. If you do not find the app on the App Store or Play Store, then do not make the mistake of installing the app in the device through APK file from third party sites. This one mistake of yours can cause you harm.
