Parth Samthaan’s appearance as ACP Ayushmaan in CID Season 2 made quite an impact, marking a strong comeback on television. However, just weeks after joining the show, the actor has announced his exit. Parth had stepped into the role of the new ACP following the presumed death of ACP Pradyuman, portrayed by Shivaji Satam. With the iconic character now making a return, Parth will be stepping away. He recently shared a picture from the set, thanking fans for their support and appreciation of his performance in this new avatar.

The picture shows Parth Samthaan suited up as ACP Ayushmaan, posing in front of the iconic CID logo. Recently, the actor opened up about his exit from the show, clarifying that his role was initially meant to be a guest appearance but was extended due to the storyline. He added that while he enjoyed being part of the revival, prior work commitments wouldn’t allow him to continue for long. Speaking with Pinkvilla, Parth said, “It’s been an absolute pleasure to be a part of a cult show like CID, even if it’s just for a brief period. I was on board for a few episodes only, a guest appearance, but later got extended for a couple of months.Initially, we couldn’t give any confirmation on the same as it would have spoiled the excitement of the show. And now with Shivaji Sir’s return, that thrilling twist about the mole will be unfolded very soon.”

CID’s first season concluded on October 27, 2018, after a successful 20-year run on Sony TV. The drama featured a talented cast, including Aditya Srivastava as Sr. Inspector Abhijeet and Dayanand Shetty as Sr. Inspector Daya. CID 2 returned to Sony TV on December 21, 2024.

Meanwhile, Parth Samthaan made his television debut as Prithvi Sanyal in the series Best Friends Forever. Parth’s career took off after he starred in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan as Manik Malhotra. He collaborated with Niti Taylor on the show. He also played Anurag Basu in Ektaa Kapoor’s follow-up to the successful series Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The actor appeared opposite Erica Fernandes. Parth Samthaan debuted in Bollywood in 2024 with the film Ghudchadi. It was a comic drama with Sanjay Dutt, Khushali Kumar, Raveena Tandon, and Aruna Irani in prominent parts.
