Multiple sources report this evening that Real Madrid have agreed a €58m deal with Bournemouth to sign Dean Huijsen, which means Juventus will receive €5.8m.

Fabrizio Romano, Marca, Sky Sport Italia and More are all confident that the agreement has been reached and they are just working on the final papers to conclude the transfer within days.

There had been numerous clubs interested in signing Huijsen after his breakout season with AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League.

They included Chelsea, but Real Madrid surged ahead and got a deal done very quickly for the 20-year-old.

Juventus will benefit from this move, even though the club will be feeling bitter regret that he was allowed to leave only a year ago for €15.2m plus €3m in bonuses.

That transfer did include a 10 per cent cut of the future transfer fee, so it means Juventus are going to get a €5.8m windfall from this sale.

His previous club, Malaga, will also receive €1.8m as reward for his formation.

Huijsen was born in Amsterdam and moved to Spain at a young age, joining the Malaga youth academy, until he was sold to Juventus in 2021 for €470,000.

The centre-back moved his way up the youth ranks to play for the senior squad, given a chance to shine with his six-month loan at Roma from January to June 2024.

Eager for more regular playing time, Juventus agreed to sell him to Bournemouth in July 2024 for €15.2m plus a 10 per cent cut of the future transfer fee.
