CBSE Board Result 2025: Only 127 Nail 100 in Hindi as English Tops with 1873 Perfect Scores

In the
CBSE 2025 results, out of nearly 15 lakh students who passed
Class 12, only 127 students got 100 out of 100 marks in Hindi. In English, 1873 students got
full marks. For
Class 10, around 22.21 lakh students passed. Out of these, 552 students got full marks in Hindi, and 2055 in English.
In Class 12, the largest number of students—20,491—scored full marks in Painting. Hindustani Music Vocal came next, with 4291 students getting 100 marks. Only one student each got full marks in four subjects: Manipuri, Electronics and Hardware, Design Thinking and Innovation, and Kannada. These numbers are being compared with last year’s results.
There has been a big jump in the number of students getting 100 marks in some subjects. In Hindi, the increase is 500%, and in Economics, it is 386%. More students from the Science and Commerce streams are also scoring full marks. But in Arts subjects like History, Sociology, and Political Science, fewer students got 100 marks this year, 19% to 64% less than last year.
In Class 10, Artificial Intelligence (AI) had the most full-scorers with 20,278 students getting 100 marks. Next was Information Technology (IT), with 14,548 students scoring full marks. Only one student each got 100 marks in Nepali and Kashmiri. In Maths, 7594 students scored full marks, which is 33% lower than last year. In Science, 5219 students got full marks—an increase of 132% from last year.
Former CBSE Chairman Ashok Ganguly said that more than 4% of students scoring above 90% is worrying.
He said the Class 12 results don’t show any clear pattern of increase, while Class 10 has a slight drop. In 2022, 9% to 11% of students scored above 90%. This year, 8.4% of students scored above 90% in Class 10, and 7% in Class 12. According to him, if exams are fair and reliable, the marks should follow a normal pattern. Normally, only around 4% of students should get above 90%. Since papers are checked by hand, there can be a 5% to 8% chance of error.
